Mr. Urvijay Brar on Law and Bare Acts:Learning and Interpretation

The Army Institute of Law students had the privilege of being addressed by Mr. Urvijay Brar, a practicing advocate in the Punjab and Haryana High Court who also runs his own institute for judiciary aspirants.
He talked about various important legislations such as The Indian Penal Code, The Criminal Procedure Code and The Civil Procedure Code. He explained how the Short Title, extent and commencement date of a particular legislation are very important details that students often tend to ignore while preparing for the Judiciary. He also pointed out various errors in the acts that have been existent for as long as 50 years now.
His great knowledge of law was very evident in his lecture and he kept the audience hooked.
